Katy, TX (September 13, 2026) – An 11-year-old child died after being struck by a vehicle while riding an e-scooter on Roesner Road in Fort Bend County on Thursday, September 10. The collision happened near Roesner Road and Elk Ridge Lane.
Medical personnel airlifted the child for treatment because of the severity of the injuries. Katy Independent School District later confirmed that the child died on Friday. The driver remained at the crash site.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led to the crash.
