Williamson County, TX (September 3, 2026) – A 9-year-old child died in a two-vehicle wreck on State Highway 95 near FM 1660 in Williamson County on Tuesday, September 1. The collision occurred around 4:45 p.m.
The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that a Toyota passenger vehicle attempted to pass in a no-passing zone and collided head-on with a Tesla passenger vehicle.
The child, who was a passenger in the Tesla, died at the scene. The Toyota driver and two other people in the Tesla were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The crash closed SH 95 at FM 1660 in both directions until Wednesday morning. The Texas Department of Public Safety continues investigating the crash.
