Moore County, TX (September 19, 2026) – One person was killed, and another was injured in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 87 in Moore County on Thursday, September 17.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials said a Chevrolet Traverse was heading west through a construction zone. The driver tried to make a U-turn and turned into the path of a Chevrolet Silverado, which struck the Traverse.
The Traverse driver went to Moore County Hospital with serious injuries and later died. The Silverado driver received hospital care for minor injuries.
The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
