Marble Falls Police and emergency units were sent to help, and a tow truck was called to move the vehicles.

We hope everyone in both vehicles recovers fully.

How Do Medical Records Affect an Injury Claim in Marble Falls, TX?

Medical records usually serve as the main proof of harm in a Texas injury claim. They connect each injury to what happened on the road, show how serious it was, and set the dollar value of treatment. When records start late or leave gaps, an insurer may argue the injury was minor or came from something else.

Texas adds a twist that catches many people off guard. State law generally limits recovery of medical expenses to the amount actually paid or owed, not the full amount a hospital first bills.

If health insurance negotiates a $20,000 bill down to $8,000, the claim usually reflects the lower number. This is what makes itemized bills, insurance statements, and receipts for out-of-pocket costs especially valuable.

Some injuries, like whiplash, concussions, and back strain, may not cause symptoms for hours or even days. A driver who heads back to work the next morning and waits weeks to see a doctor may give an adjuster room to question the claim.

A car accident lawyer can review medical records for gaps, request missing documents from providers, and make sure any future treatment needs are written down by a physician.

Texas generally allows two years to file a lawsuit, and records gathered early tend to be more complete.

Medical bills and records tend to decide how an injury claim is valued in Texas. At Brian C. Gutierrez, PLLC, we can look over your treatment history and explain what next steps may be worth taking for your case.
