Grimes County, TX (September 22, 2026) – Two people were killed, and four others were seriously injured Monday, September 21, in a head-on crash on FM 2620 in Grimes County.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near Grimes County Rd 229, just north of State Highway 30 near Bedias. According to investigators, a Nissan Armada traveling north on FM 2620 crossed the center line and collided with a southbound Chevy Silverado.
The driver of each vehicle died at the scene. Three children traveling in the Nissan, ages 9, 11, and 14, were seriously injured and airlifted to a Houston hospital for treatment. An adult passenger in the Silverado was also airlifted to a hospital.
Three medical helicopters responded to the location as emergency crews worked to assist those involved.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
