Conroe, TX (September 6, 2026) – One man was critically injured, and another sustained minor injuries in a head-on crash on Rose Road at Rose Royal Drive in Conroe early Saturday, September 5. The collision happened shortly after 4:00 a.m.
Initial reports indicate that a Toyota Avalon was traveling south on Rose Road when it collided head-on with a Nissan pickup near Rose Royal Drive. The pickup then left the roadway and rolled over.
The Toyota driver became trapped inside the car. North Montgomery County Fire crews cut him free, and emergency crews transported him to a hospital with a broken leg, hip injury, brain bleed, and spinal injury.
The pickup driver sustained minor injuries. He was later taken to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with intoxication assault.
Milstead Wrecker removed both vehicles and took them to an impound lot, where they were held as evidence. Rose Road reopened around 9:00 a.m.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team investigated the wreck.
