San Antonio, TX (September 19, 2026) – A man died after a vehicle struck him in a hit-and-run wreck on San Antonio’s East Side early Friday, September 18. The collision happened at about 2:00 a.m. in the 800 block of Dawson Street.
The San Antonio Police Department reported that a 2017 Kia Sorento was traveling west at a high speed when the SUV hit the man. The driver continued away from Dawson Street without stopping.
A short time later, the Kia crashed into a parked vehicle on North Olive Street. The driver then left the SUV behind and ran away on foot.
Police have not yet found the driver.
The San Antonio Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
