Robinson, TX (September 3, 2026) – On Wednesday, September 2, a major multi-vehicle crash disrupted traffic on Interstate 35, south of the Loop 340/Highway 6 interchange, in Robinson.

The Robinson Volunteer Fire Department reported that the wreck also affected southbound traffic. Drivers were advised to expect significant delays and use alternate routes while crews worked along the interstate.

By Wednesday night, the roadway had been cleared, and all northbound lanes had reopened.

The Robinson Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Our hearts are with everybody involved as they recover.

How Is Fault Determined After a Multi-Vehicle Crash in Robinson, TX?

Fault after a multi-vehicle crash in Robinson is determined by examining how the collisions happened and what each driver did before and during the wreck. More than one driver may share responsibility, depending on the facts.

When several vehicles are involved, determining the sequence of events becomes especially important. One collision may trigger another, or separate driving decisions may contribute to different parts of the crash. Investigators and insurers review each vehicle’s role individually.

Because accounts can differ, statements from the drivers may not tell the whole story. Photos, roadway markings, vehicle damage, traffic-camera footage, and crash reports can help clarify where each vehicle was and how the chain of collisions developed.

Under Texas law, responsibility can be divided among multiple parties. If you are found partly at fault, your compensation may be reduced by your percentage of responsibility. You generally cannot recover damages if your share of fault is more than 50 percent.

After a multi-vehicle wreck, separate insurance companies may reach different conclusions about responsibility. One insurer may accept fault while another disputes how the crash began, which can slow negotiations and make the claim more difficult to resolve.

If several drivers may be responsible, identifying every available insurance policy can also matter. A claim may involve more than one liability policy, particularly when different drivers contributed to the losses you sustained.

During the legal process, a car accident lawyer can review the crash sequence, insurance positions, and available records to determine which parties may be responsible. An attorney can also communicate with insurers on your behalf.
