San Antonio, TX (October 22, 2026) – A woman was injured Tuesday night, October 20, in a three-vehicle collision near the intersection of Stone Oak Parkway and Huebner Road on the North Side of San Antonio.

The wreck took place at around 9 p.m., according to San Antonio Police.

Authorities said a 37-year-old man had a green light when he noticed a vehicle coming toward the intersection did not appear to slow for a red light. The two vehicles collided, and the man's vehicle rolled over.

The impact also sent the other vehicle into a third vehicle, driven by a 66-year-old man. There was one person transported to the hospital, though the full extent of injuries has not been disclosed.

The crash continues to be investigated by officials.

We hope everyone involved has a smooth recovery.

How Fault Is Divided in Multi-Vehicle Claims in San Antonio, TX

In Texas, fault in a multi-vehicle claim is divided by percentage. A person found more than 50 percent at fault cannot recover damages, and anyone with 50 percent or less sees their recovery reduced by their own share. A defendant also generally pays only the share of damages that matches their own percentage of fault, unless that share is more than 50 percent.

That framework gets complicated when three or more vehicles are involved, because each driver may offer a different version of how the chain of events began. On high-traffic corridors, drivers tend to carry different policies and coverage limits, so several insurers may be sorting out fault at once. Each insurer may also assign fault differently, which can affect how much a person is offered early in the process.

Evidence tends to decide these disputes. Vehicle damage patterns, event data recorder information, nearby surveillance video, and independent witness accounts can help show who did what and in what order, though footage may be overwritten and vehicles repaired if no one acts early.

In these cases, a car accident lawyer can help request that evidence be kept, work with reconstruction professionals, and evaluate how fault may be assigned among everyone involved.

When several drivers are involved in one crash, questions about who may be at fault and which insurer pays can be difficult to sort out. Brian C. Gutierrez, PLLC can review the available evidence and explain how Texas fault rules may apply to each particular situation.
