El Paso, TX (October 4, 2026) – Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck at Montana Avenue and Flagler Street in far East El Paso on Saturday, October 3.

According to the El Paso County Fire Department, six people were evaluated after the collision. Three were taken for medical treatment. Two were transported by ambulance, while one was airlifted by LifeStar after crews freed that person from a vehicle.

The other three people declined transport. The fire department reported that none of the six patients had critical injuries.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led to the crash.

We wish everyone injured a steady recovery.

What Injuries Are Common in Car Accidents in El Paso, TX?

Car accidents in El Paso can cause neck and back injuries, broken bones, head injuries, cuts, and internal injuries.

To support your claim, you should keep doctor’s notes, medical bills, and photos of visible injuries. These records can help show when treatment began and how your medical needs changed during recovery.

Depending on your coverage, PIP, if your policy includes it, or health insurance may cover treatment while the claim is open. These benefits can help with medical expenses as treatment continues and other parts of the claim remain unresolved.

Along with medical costs, you may recover lost income and compensation for pain and suffering caused by your injuries. More serious injuries may also affect your ability to work, handle daily tasks, or return to activities you previously managed.

If you were partly at fault, your recovery is reduced by your share of responsibility. Under Texas law, being more than 50% responsible generally prevents you from recovering damages from another party. Your percentage of fault can reduce any recovery that remains available.

In Texas, the general deadline to file a personal injury lawsuit is two years from the crash date. Waiting beyond that period can prevent a claim from moving forward, although limited exceptions may affect the deadline in some cases.

As your treatment continues, a car accident attorney can track your medical bills and estimate the cost of future care. A lawyer can also review a settlement offer to see whether it accounts for your full recovery.
