El Paso, TX (November 7, 2026) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck at Alameda Avenue and Little Flower Road in El Paso's Lower Valley on Friday, November 6.

According to the El Paso Fire Department, one person was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and a second person was taken with injuries that were not life-threatening. A third person declined a trip to the hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the El Paso Police Department's Special Traffic Investigation unit.

We hope both people injured make a full recovery.

What Injuries Are Common in Car Accidents in El Paso, TX?

Car accidents in El Paso can cause neck and back pain, broken bones, head injuries, cuts, bruises, and internal injuries. The seriousness of each injury depends on the impact and the person's condition, with some problems requiring urgent treatment or continued medical care as symptoms change over time.

Because some symptoms take time to appear, you may notice pain, stiffness, headaches, or numbness hours after a collision. Seek medical attention when you experience these changes, especially if symptoms worsen or interfere with normal activities.

Once you start treatment, keep the medical records, prescriptions, therapy notes, bills, and written advice from your doctor. These materials can help show when symptoms developed, what treatment you needed, and how the accident affected your health.

In Texas, personal injury protection (PIP) can help pay eligible medical bills and lost income regardless of who caused the crash. Auto policies generally include an offer of this coverage unless it was rejected in writing, and the benefits depend on the policy.

After PIP benefits run out, you may be able to seek payment for future care, lost wages, reduced earning ability, pain and suffering, and vehicle damage. What is available depends on your injuries, insurance, and responsibility for the collision.

Under Texas law, you generally have two years after a car accident to file a personal injury lawsuit. Certain circumstances involve different deadlines, so keeping the accident date and medical paperwork together can help you track the time.

Injuries from a car accident can affect both your health and your income. A car accident lawyer can examine your medical records, identify available coverage, and account for your documented losses. A lawyer can also help respond when someone disputes the link between the crash and your injuries.
