Dallas, TX (September 29, 2026) – Two contract workers were injured on Monday, September 28, while performing maintenance work on a pipeline near an apartment complex in Dallas' Design District.
The workers were reportedly conducting routine maintenance for Atmos Energy when the pipeline exploded during the work. Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 3:45 a.m. near the Alexan Riveredge Apartments.
Both workers were taken to a hospital following the explosion. One remained in critical condition, while the other had been discharged.
