Houston, TX (September 11, 2026) – A 72-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle Friday morning, September 11, near the Texas Medical Center. The fatal crash happened around 5 a.m. at Fannin Street and Old Spanish Trail.
According to Houston police, the driver of a white Nissan Altima was traveling westbound on Old Spanish Trail and the woman was walking in the crosswalk on Fannin Street while using a walker when she was struck.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she later died. The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication before being questioned and released.
