Which Injuries Are Common in Scooter Crashes in Lubbock, TX?

Common injuries in scooter crashes in Lubbock include head injuries, broken wrists and arms, facial injuries, road rash, and leg injuries. The severity of these injuries often depends on the force of the collision and how the rider lands.

As you recover, keeping doctor's notes, medical bills, and photos of visible injuries can help connect your injuries to the scooter crash. These records can also provide a clearer picture of your treatment and related expenses.

Depending on your coverage, personal injury protection (PIP) through your own auto policy may help pay for treatment if it applies to the scooter crash. Health insurance may also cover eligible medical expenses while your claim remains open.

Beyond your medical bills, you may seek compensation for lost income, scooter repairs, and pain and suffering. The amount available depends on your losses and how the collision has affected your daily life.

If you were partly at fault, Texas law generally reduces your compensation by your percentage of responsibility. Being more than 50% responsible can prevent recovery altogether. For example, 20% fault would generally reduce your compensation by that percentage.

If an insurance company questions whether your injuries came from the scooter crash, a personal injury lawyer can gather evidence to support your claim and communicate with the insurer on your behalf. An attorney can also explain which insurance policies may apply to your claim.
