A 16-year-old died Saturday, September 19, from injuries suffered in a multi-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler on Highway 64 in Van.
The collision occurred Sunday, September 13, near a convenience store. According to the Van Fire Department, the commercial truck was carrying approximately 7,000 gallons of diesel fuel when it struck a pickup truck, overturned, and then hit another vehicle.
The teenager was taken to a Dallas hospital following the collision and died there Saturday.
The Van Fire Department said the investigation into the circumstances remains ongoing.
